This clip really takes me back. VHS horror movies were like a kind of hypnotic catnip to a generation of kids back in the eighties. Unlike the relatively innocuous-looking DVD, the video cassette had a palpable air of seediness that made it an ideal object of various moral panics. Most of us, however, who tripped hard on VHS back in the eighties are relatively unscathed today.
